Tomorrow

So the day has finally come, after months of saving money, planning days and booking stuff it just a sleep away.  Tomorrow I will be heading to the airport with my backpack and daypack and flying to Europe!  To be honest packing took a lot longer than I thought it would.  I had to go through my list several times just to make sure I included everything and nothing was missed.  Often at times people would tell me that they would get a feeling just before they go on a trip that they forgot something.  Now, I'm pretty sure after going through my list at least 5 times that I've remembered everything.
What I found to be the biggest challenge when packing for my trip was the variety of weather conditions I will be going to see.  From hot sunny days in Barcelona, to possibly snowy climates up in Stockholm, it was really hard to figure out what to necessarily bring.  But I figured if I do really need anything I can always just buy stuff once I'm there.  I'm expecting plenty of rain in the UK and as I continue my trip through Europe, the weather should hopefully get warmer and warmer because of the months.  So, I promised myself that when I'm in Europe I will try my best to keep this blog updated but I can almost guarantee that it will probably be quite difficult to do so because of A) internet access is going to be limited for me B)I'll probably be to busy enjoying my trip to write anything and C)It's going to be hard to think of anything to write while I'm there.  So wish me luck, and let this adventure begin! :)

1 more month

So it's official, one more month until I got to Europe! the countdown finally begins and honestly, I couldn't be more excited.  I have most things planned and all I really have to do it gather a few more things and then I'm all set.  In case you want to know where I'm planning on going well here is my itinerary; first I'm flying from Vancouver to London then go straight to Dublin and spend a good 2-3 weeks around the Emerald Isle (Cork, Derry, Belfast, Donegal, Galway etc..)  then from Belfast I will be heading to Glasgow and Edinburgh, Scotland.  Spend some time there then going catch a coach down to Manchester where I will meet up with a friend.  Then from there I go to London, fly to Lisbon, do Madrid, Barcelona and travel through Nice to Italy.  In Italy, I will be in Milan, Verona,  Venice, Florence, Pisa and Rome.  After, I will be in Greece, see some Greek islands then fly to Vienna.  From there I'll be going to Prague, Berlin, up north through Copenhagen to Stockholm.  Finally, fly from Stockholm to Amsterdam, then Paris and back to London where I will be flying back to Canada.
Now I know it seems a little ambitious to see all those places but I know this is not going to be my last time going to Europe and next time; I'll specifically go to a place and spend more time there.   So this is the backpack that I'm going to bring; the MEC Pangea 60L, it has a removal day pack but I'm opting to not to include and use my own backpack.  It's small enough that it shouldn't be to heavy when I carry it around and because of it's size I can limit myself to what I can bring. (Europe countdown: 30 days)

introductions

So finally, I have started this new blog.  I've been postponing this for sometime now but I realized that it's the perfect time to start it  The main reason that I wanted to start this blog is because I'm going to be gone in about a month, and I figured this would be the best way for people to keep in touch with me.  Plus after Europe, I'm planning on traveling some more and I can use this to keep updates, and to also post up some art that I create, from paintings to different types of food that I make.  So stay tuned and hopefully I'll start publishing more things as time draws near.

So this is going to be my first time traveling to Europe and I'm going to be alone.  I saved my money, worked hard and planned everything by myself.  I'm gonna be gone for about 3 months and the first month I'm going to be all alone.  Normally, I wouldn't be the type of guy who would do something so adventurous, I'm more of the guy who goes with the group and sort of stays in my comfort zone.  Luckily, a close of friend of mine is going to be joining me in the second and third month.  But it's really exciting and quite nerve racking trying to plan everything to go well.  I'm positive it's gonna be an amazing experience and that I'll meet lots of great amazing people. (Europe count: 35 more days until I go to Europe!)
